In this episode of My Mama Summer, I share a deeply personal poem I wrote back in February 2018, during a time when I felt lost and empty. The poem, titled "Shine," explores feelings of invisibility and the struggle to embrace one's true self.
As I revisit this piece, I reflect on the journey from that time to now, uncovering the layers of my chrysalis. Despite feeling stuck and hitting the same challenges repeatedly, I've come to understand these moments as part of a spiral of growth, each encountering a higher octave of self-discovery and transformation.
Join me as I dive into the concept of the babushka chrysalis, the endless layers of self-unveiling, and the realisation that it's my time to shine. I share the insights and breakthroughs I've had recently, particularly around childhood programming and self-perception, and how these realisations have shaped my journey.
This episode isn't just about sharing my story—it's about connecting with you, the listener, and encouraging you to find your path to shine. I invite you to reflect on your journey, to embrace your growth, and to join the conversation.
Thank you for being here and for allowing me to share this part of my life with you.

Warning: This podcast is not a highlight reel. (And I think that's a refreshing thing in a world of superficiality and false pretences.)
Go behind the scenes of my life as I build an online business, raise a family with intention, live abroad in a new country, and unpack trauma, programming, and reparent myself openly in the public realm.
In every episode, you’ll get insights into the depth of what it really takes to build a business, whilst being a present mama, living a life outside the box, and doing the work it takes to be who we’re meant to be.
My Mama Summer is my journey to becoming whole.
